About God’s Spirit Testimony
It Is Written
God’s Spirit Testimonyexists to help believers do one simple, powerful thing: find the word of God for whatever they are facing, and stand on it. Not a vague comfort, not a general feeling — an actual verse, spoken by God, that meets the actual moment you’re in.
The idea comes from a moment early in Jesus’ ministry. Before He preached a single sermon or performed a single miracle, He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where He fasted for forty days and nights and was tempted by the devil. Hungry and alone, He was tested three times — and three times, He didn’t argue, negotiate, or rely on His own strength. He answered with Scripture.
“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Matthew 4:4 (KJV)
When the devil tempted Jesus to turn stones into bread, to throw Himself from the temple, and to bow down in exchange for the kingdoms of the world, Jesus answered each time with the same phrase: “It is written.”He had hidden God’s word in His heart long before the wilderness, so that when the test came, He already had an answer. That is the pattern this whole site is built around.
Why This Matters for You
Most of us don’t face a literal wilderness temptation. We face fear at two in the morning, grief that won’t lift, bills we can’t pay, a diagnosis, a broken relationship, a decision we don’t know how to make. In those moments, it helps to know exactly where to turn in Scripture — not just that “the Bible has something for this,” but the actual verses, prayed back to God as prayer, spoken out as declarations of faith, and understood in their context.
That’s what you’ll find on every situation page here: Bible Verses to read, a Prayer built from those verses that you can pray as your own, Faith Declarationsthat begin with “It is written…” for you to speak over your life, and a short Bible Study note that explains how those verses fit their original context, so you are not just quoting Scripture but understanding it.
About the Translation
